After hearing so much about the Wilshire Grand Hotel from LA-ist and other local publications, I decided to check out the scene for myself. Arriving at the hotel, there's a convenient parking lot a block down (Athena's) that charge 6 dollars for the whole day (Saturday/Sunday only). Right when I walked in, I saw a line forming near the nearest elevator that was meant to access this exclusive roof top bar. What's so great about it? After waiting 30 minutes in line and getting up to the roof, I was awed by how tall this building is compared to the rest of the high rises in the greater Los Angeles area. You get to see a 180 degree view of the surrounding areas, which is absolutely gorgeous at night.
I highly recommend checking this place out during sunset hours and evenings. Oh and there's a bar both on the roof and one floor below. Feel free to get your drink on before getting up to the roof.
