Foodie Con LA (4/7-4/8)

My experience laid a solid exposure about what I eat and what I should be eating. Every booth I went to delivered an impressive presentation, consciousness about their healthy ingredients and samples that were flavorful and delicious. Yes, there were alot of samples, so much that you could run out of stomach space before you could try them all. The fun did not stop there. The event supplied cooking presentations from Tasty, bookstore, silent Disco party, VIP lounge area, food court and a designated alcohol sampling section.

I took a second to speak with Amy from Suncore Foods and she spoke on the importance of delicious food at its purest form without added sugar. Suncore food sells protein shakes, super juice powder, Quinoa and other superfood products. My favorite drink was the Lavender Lemonade from Lori’s original Lemonade, which is made from locally brewed and California grown lemons. My favorite treat was the spicy hot bacon caramel from Kindred Cooks. They had a few non food vendors like Bonblissity, who had a presentation of their exfoliating scrub that moisturises your hands when washed.

All of these products are sold locally in stores such as sprout and whole foods. Many of the companies are founded here in Los Angeles reminding me to give a nod and appreciation to L.A Cooks who take care of us and our picky taste buds and healthy requirements. I have a better understand of what I need to put in my body and what to keep out. By the end of the day my yellow bag was full of snacks, coupons and Avocado Oil Mayo. I will be there next year for sure.
